For me, yoga is a constant journey with so many different paths and lessons. The more I practice, the more there is to learn and explore!
I trained as a vinyasa flow teacher in 2009 with Frog Lotus Yoga International and in 2011 when I was expecting my second child, I also qualified as a pre- and antenatal teacher with CamYoga.
In 2016 I trained as a Positive Movement teacher with Adaptive Yoga UK and I have worked since then with adaptive yoga for clients with special needs alongside my standard yoga classes.
Vinyasa flow, with its rhythmic movement and breath, is a huge influence in my teaching. Over the years I have had the opportunity to practice and learn from many great teachers with various styles - so I have also learnt to appreciate the stillness and importance of a great alignment from the inside and out.
I am passionate about discovering new ways of teaching, how to activate and create a deeper awareness of body, mind and soul - and hopefully take the student to that new place!
In my flow classes we will synchronise breath with movement in a constant flow from one asana (posture) to another.
It will be expected that you have some experience of yoga or are happy to go with the flow and play and see where it takes you.
In my Strength & Grace classes we will take more time to explore asanas (postures), pranayama (breath exercises) and bring more awareness of our own mind patterns throughout the practise. I will challenge your body, soul and mind but you’ll be given options for all levels.
