Join special guest Roxi Peacock at The Yoga Shed for her Wild Women workshop.

Wild Women- you are welcomed to gather, share, shed and bare all. A celebration of the sacred self, coming together and remembering to come home.

Shedding what does not serve us comes in many forms. This event is held for women to see what comes up to the surface and to be healed through these sacred modalities.

Women in all forms and all levels welcome. We celebrate LGBTQ+.

What to bring?

Dress for a yoga class, extra layers for the sound bath are welcome. There will be an option to remove layers, so if you feel called to, bring smaller items of clothing you can dress down to. It would also be helpful to bring a journal, pen and water bottle. Please also bring a bowl for your lunch.

Dress comfortably, we will provide herbal teas, mats and blankets but feel free to bring anything that increases your comfort.

Do I have Trauma & what is it?

In the TRE® model trauma is defined as anything that overwhelms, this

may be shock or developmental trauma, but may also be years of stress or anxiety.

There is a growing understanding of trauma and its consequences. No one working within trauma is ignoring the body and the effects trauma has on the body. Trauma means we are stuck in defence strategies: fight flight or shutdown which long-term can affect the immune system, hormones, digestion and can cause depression low energy, extreme fatigue and pain management issues.

TRE restores the balance between the parasympathetic and sympathetic systems.

The aim of TRE8 is to rid the body of held tension and bring the body back into natural balance where all the systems are working in harmony.

Guest experience: An evening Sound bath

George is an award winning performer of the Native American Style Flute, and he enjoys pushing the boundaries of what this simple instrument is capable.

George has been a musician since an early age. He has a background in classical music and has delved deeply into the music of other cultures from around the world from many continents.

 He has a passion for exploring and researching how music and sound can be used to facilitate healing. He has taught yoga and meditation for many years, and finds this to be a perfect adjunct to his work with sound. He is qualified with the College of Sound Healing.

During a sound bath, George uses a variety of instruments, including drum, Himalayan and Crystal bowls, chimes and flute to guide participants through a meditative journey through sound.

Shoulders for healthy inversions

No doubt, inverted poses are the hallmark of yoga, and its greatest gift to humanity. They have deep effects on our mind - keeping the us sharp and agile.

Just as we eat, drink and sleep we similarly have to practice these poses every day, even if nothing else is done! We also need to make it a habit to see that we “safely” prepare ourselves for inversions, which can present a challenge for most students.

This session will analyse the “approach,” “preparation” and “alignment” of the shoulders for healthy and correct inversion practice and their variations. This in turn will build an informed and intelligent approach to your home practice.

Props will be used introducing shapes gradually - allowing for longer holds to be sustained comfortably - with surprising ease!Where there is ease, the brain becomes passive, and we can understand and learn faster.

This is an outdoor yoga class in the beautiful Almshoe bury farm meadow. All details will be emailed upon booking, and pre-booking is essential. You will be required to bring your own yoga mat but we can provide one if needed.

Wake up your mind and body, find release and flexibility. Ease into movement, nourish your joints and create space in both body and mind so you feel set up for your day, focussed and energised. Expect to move, breathe, strengthen and flow. Come and feel a shift in your energy from waking up and getting out of bed to practicing and facing the day!

A Breathwork & Sound journey

Join Nate & Roxi for a Breathwork Journey and Sound Healing workshop on their visit to the Shed, the studio where their love story began! This event offering is themed with Spring and new beginnings in mind, with the aim of helping you feel empowered and optimistic.

Nate will guide you through one of his famous breathwork journey's. Breathwork is the art of controlling the pace and size of your breath that evokes a physical and mental reaction within. While breathing, Roxi will offer Ayurvedic massage to help soothe any points of tension, encouraging a deep sense of relaxation.

From this place of depth, Roxi will follow, with a guided meditation and sound bath, bathing us with the harmonics of crystal sound bowls. Sound baths are a meditative practice involving the use of resonant music. This creates an immersive sound that fills the room and your body, aiming to help you relax and let go of stress, anxiety, or other worries and concerns. This dualistic therapy is with the intention to soothe you on the deepest level leaving you feeling cleansed, calm and connected.

A 90 minute mandala practice starting slowly with nourishing yin postures, building into a meditative dynamic vinyasa practice. Mirroring the spirals of the universe, we will move 360 degrees around the mat, before closing softly with yin and a nice long savasana!

A longer session to allow you time to deepen your practice, leaving the studio feeling refreshed and nourished.

Mandala vinyasa classes are open to students of all levels with options and modifications available, however a regular yoga practice or experience of vinyasa yoga is recommended.
